Club News 13-8-2012

Seniors: We had a great over Kill on Sunday, 4-16 to 1-9. The seniors now Denn this Wednesday evening at 7:30pm
Juniors: Our second team had a good draw against Drumgoon during the week, 1-14 to 0-17. We now sit on top of the league, but with one more match played than teams below us.
Minors: St. Killians will hopefully have beaten Erne Gaels in the Minor Championship at this stage, with the match being played on Monday 13th.
Tomas Cooney: Make sure to follow Tomas on Twitter @tomascooney, for inspirational hashtags such as #EmptyTheTank. Rumours are circulating that he’ll be joining Barack Obama’s speech writing team for November’s election.

Club News 23/7/2012

Seniors: First round of the Hotel Kilmore Intermediate Championship is this Thursday against Lacken, in Virginia at 8pm. Best of luck to all the lads. Not guts no glory.

Ladies: Hard luck to the girls who lost in their Championship semi final against Ballymachugh in trying conditions.

Cavan Minor Ladies: Hard luck to Anthony and all the girls in their defeat in the Ulster Final. It was great achievement to get that far nonetheless.

Under 16 Championship: St. Killians will have hopefully made it to another final this year, with their Championship semi final being played this Tuesday 24th in Stradone against Crosserlough.

Club News 02-07-2012

Seniors: After a couple of weeks break our seniors are away to Butlersbridge this Wednesday evening at 8pm. We currently in 3rd place in the league table, with two matches in hand on top placed Denn.

Intermediate Championship: Fixtures for the Championship are out. Our first match is on July 29th against Lacken at 2:30pm, but this could change if Seanie J and co fall victim to the mighty Cavan seniors.

Juniors: We’re still sitting atop the Division 2 Reserve League after receiving a walkout against Swanlinbar last week. We’ve now a fantastic 10 wins out of 11.

Minors: Training has started back this week with St. Killians in preparation for the Championship.

U16: Our u16s have been drawn against Lacken in the quarter finals of the Division 1 Championship. Preliminary round is due to be played on July 10th, so it will be after then when we’ve a definite date for the Lacken match.

U12: Our first match in the summer league is away to Drumlane on July 9th.

Seniors: Our seniors were unlucky in defeat to Mountnugent at the weekend, losing 1-13 to 0-13. The juniors had a great win, beating Mountnugent by one point, 3-13 to 2-15. The next division 2 match is on Wednesday at home to Shannon Gaels, at 7pm.

U16: St. Killians had another great win on Saturday, beating Laragh Utd. 4-10 to 4-3. Two wins out of two so far.

U14: Hard luck to the u14s who lost to Kildallen last week in a hig scoring match, 11-10 to 4-10.

Cavan Ladies: Well done to Cavan U14 and Minor teams who had great wins on Saturday especially well done our six girls, Ciara, Ashleigh, Tara, Shannon, Naoimi and Paula.

Jamboree: The Jamboree is around the corner again, and the promotion will be getting into full swing. Please help spread the word, and if you’re on Facebook, like and share our statuses and photos so we can pester the world.

Club News 16-4-12

Seniors: Well done to our seniors on a hard fought victory against Munterconnaught on a score-line of 1-14 to 1-12. The 2nd team also recorded a victory, winning 3-12 to 1-1.

U16: Congrats to St. Killians who beat Knockbride this week with a score of 1-13 to 0-1.

Cavan u21s: Best of luck to Kevin, Emmett and all the Cavan u21s in their All Ireland semi final against Roscommon this Saturday coming.

Ladies: Congrats to the ladies team who beat Bailieborough on Sunday by a cricket score.

Minors: Hard luck to St. Killians who lost the minor divison 2 quarter final to a strong St. Felims side on Sunday, on a score of 2-9 to 4-7.

U14: The boys u14s have their first league match away to Shercock next Monday evening

Killinkere Gospel Singers: Present ‘For All You’ve Done,’ on Saturday March 31st at 8pm sharp. Admission is €15, and proceeds in go to Cavan Branch of Irish Wheelchair Association.

Foras na Gaeilge: A massive thank you to everyone who gave to the Foras na Gaeilge collection outside mass on Sunday.

Club News 12-3-2012

Minors: St. Killians had a mixed week in the minor league. They had a great win away to Laragh on Wednesday evening, on a score line of 4-8 to 1-7, but were unlucky to lose by a single point to Crosserlough last Sunday 1-10 to 2-8. Their next match is on Saturday at 12pm away to Lavey.

Race night: Huge thank you to everyone who helped run and who attended last night’s Race Night, especially to Pat Clarke. Thank you to everyone who bought a horse or sponsored a race, and congratulations to all the winners.

Ramor Macra Congratulations to Ramor Macra who won the county volleyball tournament, and now go on to represent Cavan in the National Competition in Kilkenny.

Virginia College: Commiserations to Virgina College who were narrowly beaten in the All-Ireland semi-final last week.

Club Membership: Fee is €40 and can be paid to any committee member or at Friday night Bingo. The deadline is March 18th, and all new members welcome.

Club News 27-2-2012

Senior League: Our seniors were unlucky in defeat to Cavan Gaels in the 2nd round of the ACFL Division 2 league, losing on a score line of 0-8 to 0-7. We have a 5 week break now until the next round of the league.

Minors: Hard luck to St. Killians who lost to a very strong Bailieborough side on a score line of 4-12 to 1-08.

Club Membership: Fee is €40 and can be paid to any committee member or at Friday night Bingo. The deadline is March 18th, and all new members welcome.
